Holy Heart Special School entertains children of all age groups with impairments such as Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autism, ADHD, Muscular Dystrophy etc. Skilled therapists provide physiotherapy and Occupational therapy for children. Therapists undertake a wide range of activities to ensure quality service to students.
Occupational/Physio Therapy
- We provide services in a planned manner.
- We first assess the students' physical and functional needs.
- We design a therapy program which focuses on the requirements of a particular age group.
- We give reviews at regular intervals.
- We work on muscle power, range of motion, balance, posture, sensory and behavioural problems using the latest techniques.
- We focus on one-to-one sessions as well as group activities to enhance learning.
- We give generalized as well as individualistic care to our children.
- We work on improving the fine motor, gross motor and ADL skills to do his/her daily routine activities.
- We encourage and motivate students to actively take part in the therapy sessions, providing them with a warm and caring environment.
- We assess, prescribe and review the aids and equipment's required by the students.
- We hold consultation and counselling sessions for parents.
