Lohri Celebration Branch : Dwarka Mor
The festival which offers a panorama of our culture was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm in Holy Heart Special School. The feeling of trance was bought by melodious vocals “Sunder Munderiye” and vivacious “Folk Dance” by the students.
The students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. Lohri is the harvest festival of Punjab. Thus, people residing in Punjab attach a great significance to Lohri, the festival of feasts and food. The programme kicked off with “Lohri Poojan”. Groundnuts and sweets were also distributed among the students. Students offered ground-nuts, rewri, gachak to the God of Fire and enjoyed the festival.
